The k2tog (which stands for “Knit Two Together”) is a right-leaning decrease stitch. It is worked across two stitches from the left needle and forms a single stitch on the right, decreasing by one.

  1. Insert the right needle knitwise through the next two stitches simultaneously.
  2. Wrap the yarn around the right needle and pull through both stitches.

You have now decreased by one. If you look closely, you can see that the stitch leans to the right.
